Colour Throwdown Challenge #72

Yikes, this is a tricky combo with the bright red and green, then the soft pink & blue! Anyway, I decided after receiving such a lovely "Shaker" card from Philippa that I would make one too in these colours. The first card I made I accidentally used Baja Breeze rather than Soft Sky, luckily that was a disaster. Then this card I used pirouette pink rather than pretty in pink, I really need to read things properly! Anyway, I was unhappy with the pirouette pink result, so I splodged the ink pad all over the pink card stock to make it darker, so it ended up looking more like pretty in pink anyway!
The acetate is really hard to photograph and no matter what you do, you get glare which makes it really hard to see the embossed tree in the background. I had so much fun making this card, it has been so long since I played along with a challenge! I am going to make it my goal to do a few more! Thanks for looking :)

This card also qualifies for
Simon Says Challenge - Let it Snow
Tuesday Taggers - Oh Christmas Tree
Bizzy Becs - Sparkle and Snowplakes

Another great card. I love the way you did the oval. I forgot that I brought some oval nesties the other week. Why didn't I think of that. Any way love the finished look.

Hey Leonie, this is a lovely card. And as long as you use colors that are close, we don't mind if they're not EXACT! This looks really good to me and what a great image to use for a shaker card...they are fun, aren't they?

Great job on the challenge. I love everything about it! I guess it would be more fun if you got snow, cause I am right there with you this year, NO SNOW! Hugs to you and the girls!
