This amazing little possum is my beautiful God Daughter and the apple of my very best friends eye. She is the most amazing, beautiful baby (yes I am biased). One of the things I love about Miss Amelia are her captivating eyes, and every time I hear the song 'Just the way you are' by Bruno Mars I think about her, so I decided to put it on a page. I saw the idea somewhere around the traps and agreed it was a fantastic tribute to someone you find amazing!

I admit to having a few heart palpitations over how "un" symmetrical our tree was, but seeing how much the girls enjoyed doing it made it worth while. Now its a new Hegarty tradition, much better than the old one!
This was cheeky Logan's 5th birthday, almost 2 years ago now. Over the top of all of the chatter of around 20 or so people in the dining room, we could hear the loudest giggles coming from her bedroom! We discovered 4 very cheeky monkeys jumping on the bed, having the time of their life and I couldn't resist capturing the moment. Remember how much fun it used on be jumping on the bed? (Especially in party clothes)
It still needs the titles added in, but I am waiting to find the right sized letters, everything I have is too big or too small! I also have another page in mind to go with it, but haven't got around to it just yet, but stay tuned...
I really love combination of elegant eggplant and sahara sand together. When I first envisioned this page, is was full of pink, flowers and loads of bling, but it ended up quite simple, and the pictures speak for themselves (at least, that is what I tried to achieve). On to a couple of cards. These next 2 cards were inspired by a set made by Julie Bettencourt and the fabulous sale-a-bration sets that are available FREE with any $100 order (see side bar for more details). I am not all that happy with my first card. I was trying to make it more masculine, but I think it just turned out plain and boring! lol!
I used a combination of brocade blue, close to cocoa and very vanilla, along with the 'whimsical words' set and the candles are from the top of the cake in the 'happy moments' set. I like the feminine version a lot more. Again, the sentiment is from the whimsical words set, but this time I used the candle from the cupcake in crazy for cupcakes. I also punched out a few flowers using the five petal flower punch, distressed all of the edges and attached together with one of the cutie-patootie flower brads that were in the last mini catalogue. I used cameo coral, close to cocoa, very vanilla and a little old olive for the leaves as well as some choc chip ribbon.
I thought that this sketch challenge from Cupcake Craft Challenges would make the perfect scrap page for my little "Bob the Builder" girl. Around the age of three, this costume was one of her favourites:
This is a colour combo I would never usually use, so I am really glad her outfit gave me the opportunity to use it! Also, who would have thought that I would be using the "Totally Tools" stamp set in my daughters scrap book! lol!
I am quite a novice when it comes to scrapping, so I try to keep it simple. This is the first time I have used so many photos, usually I keep it to one or two, so it was quite a challenge to get them all in there, but overall, I am happy with the result. The actual colours are barely banana and regal rose, the sunshine has washed out my pictures a bit!
I have joined up the stamp from stem sayings that say "I made a wish and you came true!" which is so true when I think about my girls. I always wanted a daughter, and I felt like all my wishes came true at once when Logan was born (and doubly so when Matilda joined us 2 years later). I am trying to make a scrap book for Logan's first five years. I think I have done about six pages...getting there very slowly! lol!
I love the trend at the moment to dry emboss just sections of card and so I took to my trusty paper trimmer/scorer to create a little border. It took me a couple of go's to get it right, but I think it was worth it. Such a simple card, but quite pretty I think. I am trying to go back to basics since my mojo seems to have left the building! lol!
This is my daughter Logan and her friend Lily from a couple of years ago. It was hard to dress them in normal clothes at one stage, all they wanted to wear were fairy dresses! And I loved to watch them play in their land of make believe. They are so grown up now(at the ripe old age of 6), and Logan hardly ever dresses up, but when they get together, there is still a heap of make believe magic left in their play :) I was having trouble with this layout, so I used one of the sample layouts from the I wish scrapping kit and just changed it around slightly to suit my photo.
And in the one I have used only the seasons of joy set, which is my favourite Christmas set. If you don't have this set yet, buy it, it is the most versatile Christmas set in the catalogue!! The colours are kiwi kiss, sahara sand and real red (a combo I know I am going to use a lot of come this festive season). I clear embossed the Christmas trees and cut out, and I used heat & stick and fine supernova glitter for the hangy bits for the baubles and I used my big kick for the lettering. I had so much fun with this page and it came together super fast! And the gorgeous picture of little Miss Matilda sure helps to make this page special...I so miss not having a baby around!
I am quite new to scrap booking but a lot of people have been asking me about scrap booking classes, so I thought I had better give it a go! I made this page a few weeks back at stamp camp, and because I am not very confident I used the layout from the mini catty on page 5 (gotta love those ideas). I don't have too much time for posting today, so I will just quickly tell you that I got the idea for this page from the fabulous Sam at Ryemilan's. I love it!
And this page is one of my own. I was inspired by the title (stickers) that I found really cheap at the craft expo a few weeks ago, then I needed to wait until I ordered the paw wheel, which I pretty much covered up all the poor prints anyway! Ahhh well, I love this one too. i think I love anything with cute pictures of my girls!
Over the next few weeks we have a few little girls birthday parties, so I thought I should get those cards done too. I was up quite late last night and had a sift through some of my retired sets and came across this Fairy Nice set and was struck with inspiration. In the little fairy envelope is actually a fairy letter saying "wishing you a fairy nice day" stamped of course.
And this card was made using my Snow Globe set, which was my absolute favorite set at one stage. It is very sweet and I wanted to do a really soft card, so I used my chalks and blender pens and daubers. I know that I saw a card over a year ago on SCS done this way but I cant find the link, but this was done off memory so it is likely to be quite different. IRL it is very shimmery with dazzling diamonds, but as usual, the grey Melbourne day didn't allow a great photo:(
