Tying up Christmas

I am pretty sure I have now posted the very last of my Christmas cards (in the mail, not on my blog! lol)! Yay! This one I loved as soon as I saw it over on Petronela's blog. She is such a clever stamper with a great eye for colour and design, I just love her work! I would never have put elegant eggplant, pirouette pink and old olive together for a Christmas card! I made this card with a group of brand new stampers and they loved it!
And this one originally came from Karen's blog over at luv to stamp! I have gotten so much inspiration from her blog, since I stumbled upon it during a colour challenge last year. Her work has definitely helped me learn much about my own stamping abilities. She is a very clever stamper. I think that is the thing that I love most about being a part of Stampin Up! You join a community of fabulous, generous "friends", most of whom you will never meet, but they always have some lovely words of encouragement and something magnificent to share!
And, I really could not get a great photo of this one, unfortunately! It is so much prettier irl! The tree is actually stamped on the inside of the card, and there is an acetate window to peep through (that's what made it so hard to photograph! It was way too shiny). I had this card flying around in my head all Wednesday night, so much so, that I couldn't sleep! Annoying! It was a combination of two cards I have seen, the first one remains a mystery (I cant remeber where I saw it) and the other responsible for the inspiration was Adele's card here.

Lovely Christmas cards Leonie. I agree that Petronela is a very clever stamper. I was astounded at what she made with very little effort and time while we were at stamp camp at the end of October.
