Giving Thanks

Last nights workshop was so much fun, but some cheeky girls commented on the amount of cobwebs on my blog lately! Very slack I know, but one of us in our family has been sick the whole of November, throw in a kids birthday party, some dancing concerts and the normal end of year stuff, there has not been much left in the tank for creativity. That said, it is time to brush off the cobwebs and share some of the projects (mostly cased due to... well, you know why!)

I always find around this time, so many people have helped you and/or your children throughout the year, that you definitely need a few non christmassy thank you cards. I first saw this kind of card over on Karen Thomas' blog last year, and so this year I mixed up the colours a bit and made a freshie!

Stamp sets: heartfelt thanks, baroque morifs, polka dot background. Whisper white, close to cocoa, barely banana & brocade blue c/s and designer paper, brocade blue and choc chip ink, cricle scallop punch & aluminium foil.

And this one is actually one I came up with last year, and just used a different stamp set (outlined for fun - my new fav sentiment set!) and also used the faux wood technique on the boarder of the blackboard for an extra bit of interest.
Stamps: outlined for fun. Creamy caramerl, more mustard & basic black cardstock, white craft ink (more mustard, creamy caramel, close to cocoa & choc chip ink for faux wood)

Hi Leonie, I agree with the cobwebs, but know how you have been feeling! I did a craft show two weeks before Thanksgiving. The air conditioning was so cold that I got a cold and or flu two days after! It took me two full weeks to feel better and feel like blogging! Try the Trigger Tuesday Challenge. It seems like it will be lots of fun. Hope you are feeling better!

Too cute Leonie! Think I might need to make one of those!! (My son's school got interactive white boards this year - won't be long before our kids are asking what a blackboard is!!)
