Color Challenge #39 Take Two

I enjoyed making my traffic light so much, that I thought he needed a buddy and made this cute little Mermaid Card.
I got the original inspiration to make the mermaid from Makeesha's blog I changed it around a little to suit the size that I wanted, and added a couple of things, but the idea came from here. My daughter and her friend Lily are soooo into mermaids at the moment, and Logan was just soooo impressed with this little number! The colors are strictly from the challenge, whisper white, basic black, green galore, real read & so saffron, ooops, no they are not, just realised that I used blush blossom for the head & body, well almost strictly challenge colors! To achieve the background colors of the seaweed & fishies, I stamped off on scrap paper before stamping on the white, so the colors are more washed out, otherwise I thought they may steal centre stage from Miss Mermaid. I added a few white punched circles to create a bit of interest in the water, and added crystal effects to make them look all shiny and wet but you cant really see it in the picture. I also added some chunky glitter to her tail, and some diamonds to the seaweed which I don't think that you get the full sparkly effect from the picture either! Too bad, cause this card really shines IRL. I got to the end and realised that I forgot to add black, so I stamped the 'for you' sentiment on the sand. TFL
