As Christmas draws nearer, I felt the need to change my blog background, hope it gets you in a Christmassy, crafty mood! I, myself am almost all Christmassed out! I have been making Christmas cards for most of this year, and of late have done a few workshops and parties to get everyone else making their Christmas cards, and I think I am done! lol! Here is the stuff I have been doing;
And a few select close ups;
I had a ball making this one, and I think that it is why its my favorite! I used a combination of Loads of Love & Snow Globe stamps. The reason I enjoyed making it so much is because my girlfriend Phil came over for a stamp night and she had borrowed the Loads of Love set. We had just received our heat tools and discovered embossing, and our water color crayons were brand new. We got to combine it all, and what Christmas card is complete without a truck load of glitter, I had glitter everywhere, including my eyelashes (I didn't have a powder pal then!), every time I blinked I sparkled. And I used my favorite Christmas color combo, handsome hunter and bravo burgundy! It was a great night!
This one was made by Kathy Faulkner from Kerang, and I received at as a swap at the Melbourne Regionals (soooo much fun). I got a heap of swaps, a lot Christmassy, but this one was my favorite, and of course it is using Lovely as a Tree (no wonder it's my fav!)
I am almost sure that this one was cased from SCS, or at least the inspiration was from something on there! I really, really love this Snow Globe stamp set! I have hardly used it since I have become a demonstrator as I always try to use current stock. This was one of the first Christmas cards I made, I was reverse masking without knowing it!!
I have just made this cute little 'Santa Trinket Box' this morning, and he isn't quite finished yet. I found the tutorial here on Karens Blog Thank goodness for everyone sharing what they do, I could never be this inspired! My pic is a little blurry too, I will try to update it after I put the finishing touches on. TFL
