Morning Sunlight

Today I wanted to show you a card that I completely cased from the very very clever Michelle Zindorf. Her work is amazing, I have cased quite a few of her cards, and she provides such detailed tutorials on her blog, that you really cant go wrong. You can check out some of her work and tutorials here. I don't have a brayer so my card is all sponged, it is actually not as "grainy" IRL as it looks in the picture. The tree branch is from the Always stamp set, and the inks used were summer sun, groovy guava, really rust, basic black, bashful blue and taken with teal. My colors differ quite a bit from the tutorial also because I didn't have the same colors as she used, so I had to make do with substitutes. It is matted onto basic black and brocade blue card stock. I used my mat pack and black marker for faux stitching, and my white gel pen to create some shadow around the branch. I really love the overall effect, and I think my next purchase will be a brayer so I can really get the full effect of the skies ever changing colors.
