I actually made this candle & faux silk card for my very first downline, Annette a couple of weeks ago, but couldn't give it to her until I took a photo. Well, I gave it to her last night, finally. It has been ages since I did a candle too, that was one of the very first things I learnt when I started stamping! And the faux silk technique was just sooooo easy, I got the tutorial off SCS but basically you stamp your images onto tissue paper, screw it up to crease, then adhere it to your card, simple! And, this lovely little number was created over a glass of wine, some cool fruits and great company. Does it get any better than that? It has been ages since Philippa and I got together for a 'just because' stamping night. Philippa had found a card similar to this on SCS, we changed it up, used the stamps we had and I think the outcome is gorgeous, check out Philippa's here.
And I would like to take the opportunity to formally welcome Claire Sykes to the Stampin Up! family. She officially became my 2nd downline last week, which is very exciting! Welcome Claire, I know that you are going to enjoy!
