Over at Paper Pal Arts, they are hosting a gorgeous challenge using this picture as inspiration:
So going on from the cards that I posted yesterday, I came up with this card:
I have clear embossed the flourish from 'baroque motifs', then heat set a glittered image from the 'welcome christmas' set and turned it into a bauble using the ornament punch. The sentiment is from the hostess set 'occasional quotes'. Over at the Winter Wonderland site, they are also hosting a challenge to use a christmas bauble, so I guess this cards fits into that category too.
While I was making this card, I kept thinking that it would look lovely with butterflies too, so I quickly whipped one up:
I have not added a sentiment yet because I wasn't sure what I wanted to use it for, but I think this one would make a lovely wedding card. Rather than clear embossing the flourish, I heat set it with dazzling diamonds, and the butterflies are white embossed onto vellum with some sparkle added to their wings after I cut them out. My craft room is full of sparkle at the moment! As you can appreciate, sparkle is very difficult to photograph so you will just have to imaging that both of these cards are very shiny ane sparkly IRL!
It has been such a long time that I have played along with a challenge, it has been fun doing so again!

Totally love the first one to bits. Wish I'd ordered that ornament punch when I could have!
These are beautiful cards. I was thinking the same. It's been so long since I have done a challenge too. Or even blogged. Maybe over christmas I can find some time.
Love the ribbon.
What gorgeous cards - I so love mono and you've done a gorgeous job of embossing and glittering.
Your second card definitely looks 'wedding' to me.
HI Leonie! thanks for stopping by. I have had so little time, sick since Thanksgiving, that I have not been bloghoppping. I went back to NOv. 30th post, don't have time to post on all, your cards are lovely. These two are gorgeous as well. The butterfly one would make a great wedding card! I just saw your mention of wedding behind theis blogger page, so we are thinking alike. Hope you are having a wonderful December!
Beautiful cards! Love the image in the ornament as well as the quote. Great job ... and thanks for playing along at PPA.
