Purple Pony Party

We had another little girls birthday party today, so it was the perfect opportunity to play with my pony party set again. I also took the opportunity to use up some of the colours that are going to retire later this year. I used lovely lilac from the bold brights range (I think for the first time ever), almost amethyst, elegant eggplant & whisper white. I white embossed the pony onto the card stock, then highlighted his hair with markers (again a first time use for some of these colours!)
I had brought this set in the clear mount range, to give them a go. Initially, I really was not a fan of these clear stamps, but after using them all this week, I have to admit, they are growing on me. The storage is fantastic, not to mention the price difference! I may convert after all! Anyway, my point to this rambling was that I was able to mount all of the little teeny tiny stamps in a pattern onto a block and stamp a background on the card in a matter of seconds. It was sooo easy!

Anyway, hope your weekend has been fabulous, we are off today to enjoy a pasta banquet for my SIL birthday, YUM!

Yummy pasta banquet. (stares away into the distance). Oh sorry enough of food back to the card.

Great pony card. Especially using those soon to be retired sets. Like the background stamp idea. will have to give that one a try.
