Easy Easels

After the sale-a-bration months, I had earned a couple of free stamp sets, and I have pretty much everything I want from the catalogue, so I brought myself a new background stamp - weathered, and I am in love with it! It adds something so special to a card. Anyway, I have never made an easel card before, so I figured that Mother's Day was as good a time as any to give one a go. I got the tutorial from SCS, and it was soooo easy, I can see myself making lots of these in future.
I used cameo coral, ruby red & very vanilla as these are some of the colours that will be retiring later in the year, and I am trying to make was for the new colour palette that is on the way! I also had a play and created one of these FANTASTIC flowers, which I first saw here on Alisons blog, which pointed me in the direction of this tutorial by Dawn! Man, these things are addicitve. I have made like 20 in the last 2 days, (maybe an exageration, but I love them). We made this card at my workshop this week, and all the girls loved these flowers too!

I love this card. I've wanted to make an easel card for quite some time now, but I'm a chicken! I love how you added the flower. It really makes it special.
