Card Storage Tote

Hi there! We are almost at the end of the school holidays here in Victoria, and the other night my Husband took my eldest daughter, Logan out camping for the night, leaving me at home with only one child; perfect time for a craft night. So I called my stampin pal Philippa and she came over, and we set about making this gorgeous card tote that I had recently purchased from Lynda.
We had heaps of fun, we got ourselves so confused with the directions (not the directions fault, totally ours! lol) but in the end, we got there. I had no mojo left to embellish the outside of the tote. I will have to save that for another night, but I did manage to make this simple little card to go with the tote, as I am going to be giving it to someone for their birthday.
I just went with the same colour scheme set by the bella blue dsp I used. I punch out this gorgeous little birdie with the new Two Step Bird punch that has just become available in the new mini. I love the new style of punches Stampin Up now have to offer! It is going to make storage so much easier!

The other think that I wanted to mention was that I finally got around to making some paper beads (used to fasten the ribbons). It was so very simple, and I think that it really adds something to the projects. Thanks to Lynda for reminding me about this technique! I had bookmarked a tutorial ages ago on how to do it but never got around to trying it! (I have so many things bookmarked it is just not funny!)

What a long night that was. I think it has to be the longest I ever worked on a project, but once it was done it was so worth the effort. YOur glass bead turned out fantastic. Very cool.

You are finally back!!!!That tote is really cute, nice too, and functional! We are getting new colors, old ones are totally retiring with the coming of the new catalog. I am bummed at so many retiring! However some old ones are coming back. Hope to see a lot of projects soon.

Gorgeous tote and fantastic idea. How long did it take? I love the paper bead too... I know it's an obvious thing to say but I love how everything co-ordinates. Having a card that matches the pressie is just perfect. :o)
