This Wednesday just gone I had my first local workshop for the year! It was great catching up with all of the girls again, they really are a great group of people and we are always guaranteed lots of laughs! This time we made one of these awesome boxes to keep our cards in. We used tabs with make different sections -male, female, kids & misc. I got the idea here on Kylies blog. Then of course we had to make some cards to go inside, and since we made all of those lovely tabs, we made a female, male, baby, kids & thinking of you card. Here is the female card using my newest favourite set called razzle dazzle. The got the original inspiration from here on SCS.
This is the male card, We coloured the beer in with pencils and blender pens, then added chunky glitter to the froth and crystal effects to the glass.
This is a thinking of you card which would be perfect for a sympathy card or to say get well, or even for someone who is just having a tough time. I find the blues to be very calming. Inspiration for this card came from this tutorial on SCS
Here is our kids card using the ever so fun "So Sweet" set. This set is perfect with bold bright colours, which I usually find difficult to use.
And, here are the baby cards, each person chose a colour to suit them. I had originally made the pink & blue ones ages ago and just made a yellow one using the elephant for something a little more neutral. I know that I did not come up with these cards all on my own, but I cant seem to find the original source, sorry. Update: I have found where I have cased these baby cards from, it was the fabulous Leigh, you can see her cards here.
I hope you have enjoyed this post. I know the girls all enjoyed making this stuff, and I know I certainly enjoyed the workshop!

Oh my goodness! What a workshop that must've been. You made heaps of items. The girls must've been thrilled with what they got to create. I know I would've been. Love the card holder.
Kylie xo
this is an awesome project Leonie, it may be your first class but it was a blowout from the looks of the pictures!!!
Great project Leonie. The pink and blue cards look similiar to ones I made as convention swaps last year lol. All your cards look good.
Yes it was a great workshop. Am pretty sure I did more talking then anything else. But that's just the norm for me.
I love the card keeper box. Totally awesome idea. I'm glad you had a chance to catch up with everyone. Here's to many more!
Boy you kept those gals busy at the workshop - LOL. Fabulous projects though. I especially love the vellum butterfly though - how soft and delicate it looks - just like a real butterfly!
xXx
Love them all.
