Yay...My Camera is Home

I missed my camera so much, and I have so many projects to share with you over the next few days. I will start with some of my creations from this weekends Stamp Camp getaway, as well as my favorite from the shoebox swaps (everyone on the camp created a sample card & provided the supplies for us each to make one, that means we ended up with around 20 cards, it was great!). Grab a coffee, you're gonna be here for a while! hehehe!

So this card was one from the shoebox swaps, created by Adele, who's blog, I believe is under construction. She has used the circle circus & tree trimmings sets, and some very clever crimping. This was fun to make!
This one was created by Louise, but she does not seem to have a blog either. I love the simplicity of this card. A combination of baja breeze, choc chip and Parisian breeze dsp, oh, and notice that gorgeous new scalloped oval punch (you will be seeing a lot of that here).
And this one was created by Gabbie who is an ex-demo, she now makes the most gorgeous hand made soaps in the world! Her card was made using Winter Post set, and it my absolute favourite from the camp.
And these here are my creations. One of the best things about getting together with other demonstrators is we get to share all of our goodies! Debbie P brought along this die that she acquired from the USA. It co-ordinates with our Fifth Avenue Floral set. I have used cameo coral, basic grey & a bit of basic black ribbon to finish.
Another great thing about getting together with demonstrators is that we share all of our techniques. About midnight on Friday night, Yvonne decided to show off this great technique, which I will call faux embossing. You simply stamp an image in whisper white onto a dark colored card stock, then stamp over the top twice in the same color as the card stock. A very cool technique which is perfect to use with this upsy daisy set. Oh, and see that designer paper, that is a hostess only gift, you could get a whole pad of this simply by hosting your own $300 party.
I had started this card at home before we left, but when trimming down the cupcakes I accidentally cut the top off one, so I put it aside and finished it off about 5am on Sunday morning, after a few hours rockin it out on sing star (that's right, stamp camp is not all about stamping!) I love that bella rose paper, and on this card, it reminds me of a table cloth, so cute!
I am not sure who, but someone came up with the idea of making butterflies out of the 5-petal flower punch, how cute are these!
So, as you can see, we had an awesome, productive weekend up at Sunnystone's Country Retreat. If you would like to join us in November when we do it all again, drop me an email and I can discuss with you the other benefits to joining Stampin Up!
