Punches Workshop

If you are a regular visitor to my blog, you will know that I have a bit of a soft spot for punch art, ok, an obsession, I love it! My best creations have probably been made with punches, anyway, this weekend I ran a punches workshop so I could introduce some of my lovely customers to the fun & art of punchingI think the original inspiration for this card came from Karen Thomas' blog. The photos are a little poor quality because it is really grey here today - Sorry!
Now we have all seen these Popsicle & romper suit cards before but they are just so cute & everyone loved making them. The choc dipped strawberry looks good enough to eat!
These little sesame street characters have such a great likeness to the actual characters I think, and you just cant beat the squeals of delight from each participant of the workshop when their little character starts to spin up and down - I love it!
And this is just a sample that I made to demonstrate that spinner cards are not just for kids cards. I don't think you can really see it in the photo, but the butterfly turned out so pretty, I colored the stamp in with pretty in pink, royal rose & almost amethyst markers and the effect looks tied eyed, then I added crystal effects to add some dimension and shine. Now, I know my blog has been a little light on lately, but that is not to say that I have not been creating. I have been very busy preparing make & takes & samples for the launch of our NEW CATALOGUE! Woooooo Whooooo! They arrived last week, and they are just so pretty I cant stop looking at my copy. I think I may have to cancel my trip to Thailand because I want EVERYTHING! Anyway, my launch is on Thursday 9th April at 7.30. $3 per make and take item, there will be give aways, a box of retired items for bargain prices, some wine & nibbles and of course, plenty of drooling over the new catalogue with friends who will not judge your addiction! lol! If you would like to come along, please feel free to email me daniel.leonie@optusnet.com.au Hope you have a great day!
