Cant sleep? Make a card!

Gee, I just could not sleep early this morning! I was tossing and turning, I tried for over an hour and thought bugger this, I am getting up! After wasting about 2 hours on facebook, SCS, blog surfing etc I thought it was time to make a card, this was around 5.30. What a lovely hour to make a card! it really got my creative juices going and came up with this little beauty:In about 6 weeks time we are off to Thailand for my best friends wedding, and we will miss my sister in laws 30th birthday, so I wanted her card to be a little bit special, seeing that we wont be here! I was inspired by some recent step cards posted on Debbie M's blog, she does some beautiful work over there, if you haven't already done so, check it out! Anyway, she has posted a few step cards of late and they are all really pretty, so I thought it was time to give another one a go. The last one was a bit of a disaster. Anyway, I used cameo coral as my main color and accompanied it with some DSP from the summer mini(gorgeous paper & only 20 days left to order some if you want it), textured card stock, stamped the butterflies from the Dream Big & From the Garden sets, and the lettering from the big deal alphabet. The numbers were from my stash and I finished it off with some dazzling diamonds & rhinestones for a touch of sparkle! I hope she likes it!

How can she NOT like it - it's amazing, I don't even function at 5.30am so it's doubly amazing!!! Every time I see one of Debbie M's step cards I tell myself I WILL do one - another thing on my "to do" list! LOL

Must of missed this one last time I was on your blog. It is fantastic. I know I saw it at your house but it was so high on the shelf I couldn't see it all. Great job. I'm thinking of ordering some more of that paper before it runs out.
