Stamp-a-stack

Today was such a good day to get together with friends and stamp! And not one Christmas card in sight! Yay! It was really refreshing but I have to say, we must have all over indulged over the break because we were all making silly, and funny mistakes, losing everything, and laughing, a lot! We did 6 cards, 2 of each design, and we used all sets from the new summer mini. The idea was to kick start the new year with a bunch of cards, 2 feminine, 2 masculine and 2 for kids. These ones were for the kids and you could chose between a pink/red card, mustard, blue or green. I love the new chunky glitter from the summer mini, it really makes these cards pop! The stamps are from the In the stars set.
We used the For Father stamp set for these ones, and you could chose what image to stamp. We did some coloring and embellished with some twill, brads, tearing and sponging. I think this is a lovely set for male cards, and it was good to do some coloring again. I think the twill added a nice touch that is not too girly.
The last card was one we did at the regionals in October, utilising patterned and textured paper and the Live your Dream set. I found this new "tricky" way to use ribbon on SCS the other day. Run a line of sticky strip along the card and then bunch the ribbon along it for this ruffled effect, pretty cool huh! (Saves me the agony of trying to tie the perfect bow)
So this was our stamp a stack, we had heaps of fun, hope you can join us for the next one! Email me for details lhe73381@bigpond.net.au

Hi love the ribbon tying (yep I definitely have 2 left thumbs - love shortcuts like this) & the glittery stars are magical. TFS.
